Kleanza Creek Provincial Park

Dawn breaks at a Rest Area outside Prince Rupert.
We drive as far as Keanza Creek campground...not too far since we were up at 3 a.m. The campground host opened up this cul-de-sac just for us.
We decided to hike the trail to the canyon waterfall before we crashed. The trail starts out along the creek.
 With its cold, clear water.
There is a nice picnic area here.
 A view into the canyon...
But our hike takes us above the canyon to an overlook.
 This way....just a gradual climb.
Very tall western trees grow here...similar to western Washington.
 Moss-covered trees.
Birdie looking up at the tops of the trees.
Someone carved out a little resting chair from a tree stump.

The forest is very green...we are in a temperate rain forest...like the Olympic peninsula in Washington.
Green moss carpets the forest floor.

After a few switchbacks, we are at the top of the canyon.
It's difficult to get a good picture of the waterfall through all the foliage.

THis sign in the Day-Use area tells about the climate and landscape.
Saw this cute tear-drop type camper in the campground.
Kleanza Creek Provincial Park....I recommend it.
